For this position, we are seeking talented designers with a preferred experience level of 10+ years and the desire to be in a creative and collaborative office.  Ideal candidates must thrive in a self-directed environment, have sound judgement, and an overactive attention to detail. Frequently, persons in this position will work on multiple projects, so the ability to stay organized and manage time carefully is important.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • 10+ years’ work experience
  • Revit, AutoCAD and Sketchup/Formit proficiency
  • Ability to communicate design ideas via hand sketching, 3D computer renderings and verbal presentation skills
  • Knowledge of architectural design, documentation, detailing, building materials building codes and construction technologies
  • Commitment to all aspects of sustainability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • LEED AP credentialed

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and implement all aspects of the design process while ardently contributing to the overall success of the project and its adherence to the firm’s goals and standards of excellence in design and project delivery.
  • Manage all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
  • Manage project teams, fostering collaboration, and demonstrating clear and effective communication and direction.
  • Participate in the development and validation of project scope and fee, project budget and scope of services during the marketing and contract development process.
  • Work with Project Architect to avoid schedule conflicts due to project changes.
  • Provide effective and timely communication with project team including clients, consultants, contractors and other disciplines.
  • Monitor construction administration during the construction phase.
  • Participate in marketing opportunities and the development of successful client relationships.
  • Practice risk management by monitoring client issues and technical issues in a timely manner to minimize liability.
  • Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and compliance with office standards.
  • Participate in the development and mentorship of staff.
