The Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH), an AIA knowledge community, provides knowledge which supports the design of healthy environments by creating education and networking opportunities for members of – and those touched by – the healthcare architectural profession.

Committee programming is typically held the third Friday of each month at 11:30am. Typically, each event includes time to network with peers and colleagues. The venue for each event varies, and when not hosted in person at the Austin Center for Architecture, may be hosted by the presenting firm or organization.

The committee is led by a chair and chair-elect. In support of the chairs is a steering committee comprised of past chairs, allied industry members, and healthcare architects. The steering committee meets at quarterly intervals to discuss topics for future programming. The steering committee also provides a network within the healthcare architecture community, which sustains our active schedule of monthly programming, and members may offer or arrange tours, presentations, and hosting.

If you have any suggestions for future programming, please email both the chair and chair-elect. If you would like to be on the committee mailing list, which is typically sent a monthly mailing about upcoming programming, please sign up for the mailing list.
