The vision of the Lean On Me House was to create a space that brings the outside in. To blur the boundary between interior and exterior, the house works with the extremely steep slope of the site to stay as close to the incline as possible. This results in a stacked-massing home that sits atop a hill.

Vertical cedar siding and a custom wood screen provide warmth and privacy, while large expanses of glass frame stunning views of the neighboring preserve. Deep overhangs and limestone walls link the house to its Texas roots. The home is an inviting work of architecture grounded and informed by the land on which it rests.
