The original façade of this historic residence hides the modern transformation that takes place just beyond the front entry rooms. The architects created a dynamic fusing of two homes built nearly a century apart—the front of the home remains grounded in the context and scale of the historic neighborhood while the side and back reflect the modernization of downtown Austin.

The panoramic views of downtown afforded by the hilltop setting drive the design of this extensive remodel and addition project. The great room opens up to stunning views of the downtown skyline with tall ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling glass pocketed curtain wall system, the first ever implemented in Austin. The space is completed with an outdoor entertaining space, lap pool, and sliding glass doors that allow the downtown vibes to flow into the home.
