AIA Austin WiA presents the 2026 Motherhood Panel, “Overcoming Taboos”, a virtual discussion addressing often unspoken challenges of motherhood in architecture and related fields. From family planning to building empty nest identities, the conversation will explore how to advocate for oneself in order to find support juggling professional expectations with caregiving responsibilities. Participants are invited to listen, learn, and engage in breaking down stigmas to foster a more supportive and equitable future for the profession.
