About the Role
We are a boutique architecture and interior design studio based in Austin, located just off South Congress. We’re seeking a seasoned technical professional to lead the delivery of complex projects from documentation through construction. This is a technical role, not a design position. The ideal candidate is an architect or interior designer with 12+ years of experience focused on construction documentation, coordination, and technical execution. You will lead the production of detailed, code-compliant drawing sets, coordinate across disciplines, and mentor junior team members—all while ensuring our work is built as intended.

Responsibilities
• Lead the development and coordination of complete, buildable construction document sets
• Translate design concepts into technically sound solutions while maintaining alignment with project goals
• Direct consultant integration (MEP, structural, civil) and oversee documentation of all technical components
• Manage QA/QC processes and ensure consistency, accuracy, and constructability across all drawing sets
• Oversee permitting, bid, and construction documentation processes in line with local codes and standards
• Actively participate in construction administration, field coordination, and issue resolution
• Mentor junior staff in technical documentation, detailing, and best practices
• Ensure project documentation aligns with BIM workflows and studio standards

Qualifications
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• 10-12+ years of experience with a strong focus on technical project delivery
• Advanced knowledge of construction detailing, building codes, life safety, and accessibility requirements
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong working knowledge of BIM workflows and coordination tools is required
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Licensure preferred (Architecture or NCIDQ), or actively pursuing
