Job Responsibilities

As a Project Architect, you will serve as a consultant across diverse projects and clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform building enclosure consulting services during both design and construction phases
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and manufacturers
  • Manage projects, including budgets and proposal development
  • Review construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals for building envelope systems
  • Conduct field observations and site evaluations to assess installation and performance
  • Assist with diagnostic testing and forensic investigations related to water intrusion and envelope failures
  • Utilize tools such as WUFI hygrothermal modeling to evaluate moisture and thermal performance
  • Identify issues, diagnose root causes, and develop repair design documents
  • Prepare written reports and recommendations to support project decision-making
  • Produce construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and RIB SpecLink
  • You will primarily work alongside Terracon subject matter experts (SMEs) on systems such as:
  • Roofing and waterproofing assemblies
  • Exterior wall systems and cladding
  • Air and water-resistive barriers
  • Windows, glazing, and fenestration systems

Job Requirements

  • Licensed Architect (RA) or actively pursuing licensure
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and construction industry
  • Experience with building envelope systems or exterior assemblies
  • Interest in a hands-on role combining field work, investigation, and design
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation and detailing
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to clients

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time Position (Minimum 40 hours a week, Salary)
  • In-office presence required four days per week (Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM core hours)
  • Remote work permitted with supervisor approval, for site visits, or when meeting chargeability goals
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as RRO, RRC, RWC, REWC, or RBEC
  • Experience in forensic investigation or building enclosure consulting
