The studio pursues residential, hospitality, civic and institutional projects that weave ecology and architectural space. Job Description:

  • Title: Job Captain
  • Type: Full-time, in-person with hybrid work options to be considered after successful onboarding.
  • Responsibilities: As a Job Captain in Furrow Studio, you will work closely with the studio Principal to contribute to and co-lead production in all project phases, from site analysis and initial concept studies to design development, construction documentation and construction contract administration. You will prepare presentations, participate in team meetings and site visits, and coordinate with the design team, contractors, agencies and clients while nurturing these essential relationships. You will also contribute to the studio’s design vision and culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • MLA, BLA, MArch or BArch
  • 3+ years of design and drafting experience in landscape architecture or architecture office; Project Management experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CC required; Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Lumion and AI Rendering experience is a plus

  • Ability to produce Client Presentations and Schematic, Design Development and Construction Document packages, and familiarity with Construction Contract Administration practices
  • Experience with grading, construction methods and materials, and detailing
  • Experience with international and local codes and ordinances
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Client-focused orientation
