Position Description:
We are seeking a high-level Interior Designer Level I (Interior Design Team Member) candidate for our Austin, Texas office! Responsibilities include support of project teams and completion of project tasks needed for successful project delivery. Candidates will need to possess a combination of technical skills including an understanding of regulations, operations, and knowledge of constructability. Effective communication skills are also needed to work with a team of diverse professionals. The successful team member takes the initiative, demonstrates flexibility, completes deadlines on schedule, and is self-directed.
Basic Skills & Responsibilities:
o Capable of taking a project through design and construction integrating interior design and architecture, detailing, finishes, furnishings, document coordination and review
o Product research, FF&A budgeting, purchasing, and installation coordination experience
o Understanding of building and life safety codes
o Professional demeanor with strong organizational and communication skills
o Motivated, proactive, teamwork oriented, and flexible
o Problem solving and critical thinking skills
o Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design is required
o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an Interior Design or Architectural firm
o Proficiency in BIM (ArchiCAD/Revit)
o Experience in Senior Living, Multi- Family, or Student Housing preferred
