North Arrow Studio has an opening for a full-time designer. We are looking for an enthusiastic and disciplined applicant with a solid foundation in construction documents and an interest in boutique commercial and residential projects.
Responsibilities:
- Site Analysis
- Code and zoning research and analysis
- Project Management
- Manage residential and commercial projects during development and construction
- Drafting & 3D Modeling
- Prepare construction drawings and digital models
- Job Site Observations
- Conduct site visits to observe construction progress, document conditions, and understand how drawings translate into built work
- Renderings & Graphics
- Create compelling visualizations, diagrams, presentation materials, and client-facing graphics
- Research
- Material investigations and product sourcing
- Marketing & Business Development Support
- Project documentation, social media content, website updates, and publication support
- General Studio Support
- A variety of evolving tasks that support the design and construction process. We are a small office, and we value adaptability.
Qualifications:
- Design professional with 4–7 years of experience in an architectural practice
- Skilled in COA code and zoning rules and analysis
- Proficient in preparing construction drawings
- Strong design sensibility and graphic skills
- Proficiency in design and modeling software
- Clear communication skills and professional demeanor
- Comfortable communicating with consultants, reps., contractors, and others
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Ability to manage time effectively
