We’re looking for a creative team member to join our small studio, centrally located just south of Lady Bird Lake. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the principal architect and grow professional skills in all facets of the design process. Pluck Architecture is a full-service firm that focuses on residential new construction and additions, boutique commercial, and preservation.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design process across all phases, from initial concepts to construction administration
- Create graphically strong presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to clients and to collaborate with consultants
- Develop and refine architectural drawings and material schedules
- Maintain all project documentation per Pluck’s standards and way of working
- Support other team members as needed to foster a collaborative and positive working environment
- Explore creative problem-solving solutions on paper and in the field
- Contribute to the overall culture and success of Pluck Architecture
Qualifications:
- Degree in architecture
- 1-3 years of professional office experience in architecture or interior design
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite. Our studio works on a Mac platform
- Strong design, organizational, and communication skills
- Eagerness to understand, execute, and better Pluck standards
- Design aesthetic and sensibility compatible with Pluck’s portfolio
- Ability to divide attention between multiple projects, clients, and consultants
- Positive attitude, good sense of humor, and enthusiasm to be a team player
