Schedule: Full-Time | 248 Days
Salary: $75,350 – $91,891, contingent upon experience

Hays CISD is seeking a Bond Project Manager III to help deliver bond-funded capital projects that support the district’s growing student population. This role represents the district throughout the project lifecycle—working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors from early planning and design through construction and warranty.

The Bond Project Manager III ensures projects align with district standards, program needs, budgets, and schedules while supporting collaborative project delivery with design professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Owner’s representative for bond-funded construction projects from pre-construction through warranty.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously up to $40M construction cost and/or 65,000 square feet.
  • Collaborate with architects and consultants to review design development, construction documents, and specifications.
  • Coordinate project scope, schedules, and project timelines with design and construction teams.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure construction aligns with project documents and quality standards.
  • Review and approve payment applications, invoices, and contingency change orders.
  • Coordinate owner-provided services including geotechnical, surveying, commissioning, and FF&E vendors.
  • Assist with bid processes, proposal evaluations, and contractor negotiations.
  • Support long-range facility planning and replacement cycles for systems such as roofing, HVAC, and interior finishes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction or capital project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction drawings, and project planning principles.
  • Experience collaborating with architects and construction teams on complex projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
