Mission
The mission of the Donna D. Carter AIA Austin Women in Architecture (WiA) and Design Austin (DA) Scholarship is positioned to support increased diversity in the architecture profession within the greater Austin community. In doing so, this scholarship is intended to highlight the achievements and future ambitions of a minority female, or minority non-binary, student in the professional undergraduate or graduate architecture program pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin.
Tuition and Funding
The 2025-2026 academic year for the scholarship / financial tuition assistance will be in the amount of $2,500 for the school year, paid for by WiA and distributed by the Design Austin.

November 11th, 2024: Application is released
February 3rd, 2025: Applications due at midnight
w/o February 21, 2025: Scholarships announced
Early March 2025: Promotional Videos Filmed
March/April 2025: Recipient Recognition Reception
August 2025: Funds distributed
