This committee provides a platform to showcase excellence in design that is produced by AIA Austin architects and selected by a panel of distinguished jurors. The committee organizes and implements the annual AIA Austin Design Awards Competition and Awards Celebration. The committee meets on the 1st Thursday of each month at 9am in a hybrid format.

Here are key events:
- Submissions will open the first week of February, followed by workshops
- The Jury will deliberate in April in Austin, and a public event for the public to meet the jurors (Jury Conversations), will happen then
- The Design Awards Celebration will be held in May.
