The principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging are important priorities for AIA Austin, AIA National, and the profession of architecture. Our committee seeks to improve our organizations and our profession by imbuing these considerations into everything we do.

AIA Austin remains committed to fostering a professional community rooted in justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Through our JEDI initiatives, we aim to provide meaningful resources and connections for architects at every stage of their careers.

With recent legislative changes like SB17, we are proactive in ensuring that JEDI remains a valuable resource—not just for AIA Austin, but for the broader community. Our goal is to support students, emerging professionals, and seasoned architects alike with tools to thrive in an inclusive environment. As part of this goal, our website means to serve as a hub for scholarships, educational materials, and networking opportunities.
