⟵ Studio Steinbomer

Founded in Austin in 1990 by Principal Emeritus Robert Steinbomer, Studio Steinbomer is
an architecture and interior design practice led by Amy Bramwell, AIA, Jennifer Vrazel, AIA,
and Ben Pruett, AIA. The firm is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise with more than
three decades of work across Central Texas.

Our practice spans civic and government architecture, commercial and corporate
workplaces, media production and technically specialized facilities, adaptive reuse, and
custom residential design. Signature projects include the Austin PBS broadcast studios at
the Austin Media Center on Austin Community College’s Highland campus, a complete
interior build-out with three broadcast studios and a live-audience soundstage engineered
for acoustic isolation, and the substantial renovation of Oak Brook Reserve, an
architecturally significant corporate office building near Chicago. The firm’s civic portfolio
includes New Braunfels City Hall, a 62,000-square-foot conversion of a former grocery
store into a city hall, and the Caldwell County Justice Center, a courthouse created from a
former big-box retail building. Recent work includes Velocity Credit Union and commercial
interiors for clients across the region.

We view design as a collaborative process between owner and architect, with the shared
goal of artful, sensible, and value-conscious buildings that serve the people who use them
for decades. Our work has been honored with design awards and published in Texas
Architect and Tribeza, among others, and the firm has featured homes on the AIA Austin
Homes Tour.
