 Russ Design Studio (RDS) is a full-service architecture and design firm focused on delivering thoughtful, authentic, and creative solutions to each project. RDS, established in 2025, is the culmination of more than twelve years of experience in the Austin architecture and design community. 

Mari, the founder of RDS, has worked with many talented and award-winning firms throughout the city, adding to the fabric and culture of our built environment. Mari began her career in Austin after receiving her bachelors from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and teaching a first year design studio at a university in Punjab, India. Bringing a wide range of experience and perspective, Mari offers clients a unique approach to designing their dream project. 

At Russ Design Studio, Mari believes that designing our surroundings extends beyond mere spatial, structural, or technical considerations, exceeding simple discussions of style. To honor our complex sensory experiences, it is essential to investigate place thoroughly. This ensures that the building and landscape not only fulfill all functional needs in a lasting and sustainable manner but also stimulate our perceptual, intellectual, and spiritual capacities.
