Mission
The mission of the AIA Austin Women in Architecture (WiA) and the Center for Design ATX (CFD) Scholarship is to support diversity in the future of the architecture profession within the Austin community. This scholarship is available to a minority female or minority non-binary student in the undergraduate or graduate professional architecture program at University of Texas School Of Architecture (UTSOA). Our goal is to award two scholarships as well as provide a network of professional opportunities.
Tuition and Funding
The 2024-2025 Scholarship will be in the amount of $2,500 for the school year, paid for by WiA and distributed by the CFD.
Timeline
- November 6, 2023: Scholarship application is released
- January 29, 2024: Scholarship application due date
- February 23, 2024: Scholarship recipients announced
- March 2024: Recipients honored at WiA Dinner Series
- August 2024: Funds Distributed
