Haddon+Cowan Architects ( www.haddoncowan.com ) is a growing Austin firm established in 2004 with a diverse project portfolio, including K-12 education, higher education, medical and private commercial work.  We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager to support our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our office.

Position Overview:

As the Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our office environment. You will oversee administrative tasks, manage office operations, and provide essential support to our team members. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at multitasking.  Salary is negotiable based on qualifications.


  • Manage office operations and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.
  • Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and conference room bookings including any refreshments and hospitality items.
  • Manage office supply and break room inventory and stocking.
  • Interface with various office vendors including IT support, cleaning crew and others.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks for senior management.
  • Assist with miscellaneous office errands such as client samples deliveries, picking up printing orders, company car maintenance appointments etc.
  • Coordinate office events and social activities to foster a positive work environment.
  • Support senior management with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.


  • Proven experience in an administrative or office management role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in Abode Creative Suite programs is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in the architecture or design industry is a plus.
