Sidetracked Studio is a full service architecture firm founded on the idea of overlap, realizing that architecture and design are far richer when they move outside their own parameters and allow themselves to be influenced by the world around them. As a firm, we believe good design comes from inspired collaboration. Each project presents a unique set of opportunities that allow us to develop a creative solution that maintains our client’s intentions and budget. We understand that inspired design comes from weaving our client’s personal style with what is inherently good about their site or space.
Our current work includes custom residential projects, both new construction and remodels, located mostly in Austin and surrounding areas. We selectively consider commercial projects that are residential in scale, and are currently working on a small boutique hotel in the Texas Hill Country.
We are a purposefully small group – there are three of us, and looking to add another if it is the right fit. We are seeking someone in the early stages of their career who can grow with our firm, and is motivated, collaborative, and has a positive attitude. We can offer close, hands-on experience in each step of the design process in an environment that is supportive, engaging, and (we like to think) fun.
Skills we are looking for:
- Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
At least 2 years of experience using Revit to create architectural drawing sets.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and graphic.
Organized, flexible, good with time management and able to plan ahead for multiple projects.
Able to take initiative, but also is a good listener and takes direction well.
Able to collaborate and participate in the design process from beginning to end.
Able to produce graphic renderings with Revit and Adobe Suite.
Basic knowledge of the design process – drawing, detailing, documentation, code requirements – and is eager to learn more.
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes medical insurance, employer matching retirement plan, and PTO.
If you think you would be a good fit, please provide a brief note explaining why you are interested in working with us and why you think you would be successful in this position. Please also provide a current resume and relevant work samples.
