CARTER • DESIGN ASSOCIATES is a multidisciplinary architectural, preservation, and planning firm whose designers and architects have provided professional services in Texas for over 25 years. Our goal is to provide services to public, nonprofit, and private clients who demand an attention to detail in the solving of their facility programming, building design, and space planning needs. Donna Carter, as president, insures that each project receives the attention and commitment of the full resources of the firm.

CARTER • DESIGN ASSOCIATES (1985) succeeds Carter + Parshall Associates, which was formed in 1982. Our staff includes registered architects, an interior designer, a LEED AP, planning, GIS, CADD and administrative personnel.

The firm and its individual members are active in community affairs, including the donation of labor and technical support to many social service and non-profit organizations.

Current projects include the City of Austin Public Safety Training Facility Pistol Range; the YMCA renovations and addition for Texas A & M; the historic restoration of the Rufus F. Hardin School, in Brownwood Texas, for use as a local history museum; a shade structure for the Mary Baylor Clarksville Park; multiple deferred maintenance and reroofing projects for the State of Texas; the rehabilitation of the Cephas House in San Marcos; the City of Austin Municipal Courts and Northeast Police Substation.
